WHY HAS YOUR
DOCTOR REFERRED YOU TO DR. VLASUK?
Better and More
Relevant
Information
In
addition to a full
pathological report, Dr. Vlasuk includes biomechanical concerns of
vital interest to
chiropractic and naturopathic physicians. Unlike
the typical medical procedure, Dr. Vlasuk performs upright (standing)
x-rays
whenever possible. Bending views to
assess spinal motion are also available.
Dr.
Vlasuk’s reports are
much more complete and contain more clinically-relevant information
than is
included in a typical medical radiology report. This
often improves claims handling due to better
documentation of the patient’s problem. Dr.
Vlasuk specializes in the neuro-musculo-skeletal system.
Excellent Image
Quality
Film
quality and patient
position receive meticulous and unfailing attention.
Improved Safety
A
special high frequency
x-ray generator is used, which cuts radiation doses down at least a
third
– and often more – as compared to a typical x-ray lab.
Every other radiation protection technique is
zealously employed.
Patients can be assured that they are getting the
lowest possible
radiation dose.
Personalized
Attention
Faster Service
X-ray
patients leave our
lab with their x-rays and Dr. Vlasuk’s report, so that there is no
delay in
beginning treatment
WHY
USE A DACBR, A CHIROPRACTIC EXPERT?
As noted above, there is more to an x-ray report than
just ruling out
pathology. A DACBR will also devote attention to the biomechanical concerns
that are of vital interest to
chiropractic and naturopathic physicians.
Upright (standing) x-rays are frequently utilized whenever possible,
and bending views
may also be used to
assess spinal motion. These
biomechanical findings provide added information to assist treating
doctors in formulating an effective treatment plan for their
patients. DACBRs specialize in the neuro-musculo-skeketal
system.
A
1995 study* compared the performance of 496 health care providers in
interpreting x-rays of the lumbosacral spine.
Compared
were:
 |
general medical radiologists
|
 |
chiropractic radiologists (DACBRs)
|
 |
skeletal radiologists [MD radiologists
specializing in radiology of the skeleton]
|
 |
medical physicians in clinical practice
|
 |
chiropractic physicians in clinical practice
|
 |
a variety of medical and chiropractic residents and students.
|
The
test results of chiropractic radiologists, chiropractic radiology
residents, and
chiropractic students were significantly better than their medical
counterparts.
Chiropractic
radiologists showed a 2.3 times greater accuracy rate as compared to
medical
clinicians.
