WHAT KINDS OF CASES DO OTHER DOCTORS
SEND TO DR. VLASUK TO PRODUCE X-RAYS?

	Some doctors choose not to have an x-ray unit and send all their patients who need x-ray.
	Many send large patients whose size exceeds their generator/tube capacity.
	Many send patients for extremity x-rays. We have special slow-speed screens for extra detail.
	Many send patients for x-rays that they do not routinely produce in their own offices.

DR. VLASUK’S X-RAY ADVANTAGE

Wall bucky for upright weight-bearing mechanical films.

Float-top table for high-resolution recumbent spot views, when necessary.

Obliques, tilted views, angled views - any special plain films.

Films on very large patients.

Quality is the essential; if the patients are very large, we will do them recumbent

AP full spine 14x36" films (up to 34cm) for scoliosis evaluation.

The APFS is accompanied by three separate sectional laterals, plus the extra AP cervical view (depending on whether the APFS view is ordered with open mouth or closed mouth).

Extremity studies with 100-speed fine detail screens.

WHAT YOU GET

	Good x-rays
	A narrative written report
	Includes both pathological and mechanical concerns
	In most cases, the report is dictated immediately. We will have the report completed in just a few minutes to place in the envelope with the films, so the patient can leave with the films and the report. You will have your information without delay!

WHO PAYS?

We handle all billing with the patient and his payor. The referring doctor is not billed for anything.

(This differs from x-ray consultations for which we do bill the doctor.)

L&I: We direct bill for L&I.

Medicare: We are subject to the same restrictions as apply to any other chiropractic facility relative to x-ray and other diagnostic services. We will do Medicare billing for patients, obtain the denial, and then bill the patient’s secondary carrier for them to be reimbursed according to their policy.

HOW TO MAKE A REFERRAL

The treating doctor can call to order the study, or the patient can call. We make every effort to make appointments immediately -- even without advance notice - but do have someone call first before the patient drops in to make certain that Dr. Vlasuk is in the lab.

While the patient is here in the lab, Dr. Vlasuk will follow up with any necessary spot views if she sees that they are necessary, so that the patient does not have to make a second trip. If doctors wish, they can just indicate the clinical concerns, and Dr. Vlasuk will take whatever type of study is necessary.
